Chef Randy has many different ideas and gourmet soup recipes to satisfy whatever you might crave. From ordinary ingredients like corn and potatoes to the extraordinary like python or wild boar, all of his delicious soup recipes will make your Harrisburg dining experience like no other.

The focal point for today is the hard to find ingredients like python and bear. When working with these kinds of foods it is important to know their flavor and texture before you start to create your dish. Once you’ve done your tasting let your imagination go to work. Your lighter meats and veggies, such as alligator are great for bisques and cream soups. The heartier ingredients like bear are great for stew and chili.

Vegetables and fruits can be exotic too, two examples like star fruit or Bok Choy. These items can also be incorporated to create some of your favorite soups. I know that most people don’t like brussel sprouts but you can change their mind with a very simple cream of brussel sprout that is “out of this world” delicious and just might become one of your own favorite soups.

To make an unusual soup, you don’t have to have unusual ingredients, it can be done with everyday items such as coffee or apples.  Sometimes just an imagination and a love of food is enough to create some fantastic soups. Some of the favorite soups at The Soup Spot are apple pie (a great soup ala mode) and cordon bleu. If you can dream it, you can make it one of your own delicious soup recipes.

Amazing soups can come from the simplest to the most exotic ingredients, and The Soup Spot is a great place to find them all.  From ‘Kanga’ Stew and Python Gumbo to Chicken Noodle and Broccoli Cheddar you’ll be sure to find some your favorite soups at The Soup Spot. We like to experiment here at The Soup Spot and you can too, just find your ingredient you want to try and let your imagination do the rest.
